New Mexico is a colorful, vibrant, quirky state with an amazing mix of cultures. There are 23 Native communities (tribes and pueblos, and the Navajo Nation), in addition to influences from Spanish explorers, Mexico, Central America, Europe, and Vietnam, among others. From far-flung ranches in the middle of nowhere to the ultra-high tech labs in Albuquerque and Los Alamos, we have a little bit of everything, it seems. This collection of photos hints at the tremendous diversity in New Mexico. Some of these photos depart from my more traditional landscape images, and I hope you find them interesting.
